The sleeve slides over the ends of both rails, creating a smooth, clean, and continuous connection for long straight handrail sections. To secure the join, self-tapping screws can be installed underneath on each side. In most installations, the handrail sits on top of uprights, which naturally limits movement—however, screws or adhesive can be used for added strength and stability where required.
