Delivery Policy

Delivery Locations

We deliver to all locations across Australia.

If you live on an island (excluding Tasmania) or in a very remote region, please contact us before placing an order so we can confirm delivery options to your area.

We do not ship to Australia Post parcel lockers due to tracking and logistics limitations. Deliveries to PO boxes are accepted.

Delivery Fees

Delivery costs are calculated based on your location and the size/weight of your order. Our checkout system will automatically generate a delivery estimate.

To preview your shipping cost, simply add your items to the cart and use the Calculate Shipping function during checkout.

For remote locations or island deliveries (excluding Tasmania), the automated price may not reflect the final delivery fee. If you think this may apply to your address, please contact us for a manual quote before finalising your order.

Some Freight companies charge holding cost per day if items are not picked within a certain timeframe. Please check with the freight company when tracking email is received

Freight Services

We use a range of freight providers including Australia Post, Border Express, Mainfreight, and local courier services. The carrier selected depends on your delivery address and the dimensions of your order.

When possible, we will dispatch items via express service (size and weight permitting).

Please include any specific delivery notes in the Special Delivery Instructions field at checkout. This may include:

  • Signature requirements
  • Safe-drop instructions
  • Information for drivers
  • Special access or unloading considerations

If your order requires specialised delivery equipment (e.g., crane truck or HIAB for large palletised products such as long handrail lengths or dowel), please contact us for a separate quote as these services are not included in standard delivery fees.

Please note: most freight companies do not provide pre-delivery calls or guaranteed exact arrival times. You will receive tracking details once your order has left our warehouse.

Delivery Times

After payment is received, we aim to dispatch orders within 2–3 business days. Larger or more complex orders—especially those involving handrail products—may require an extra 1–2 business days.

During peak trading periods (e.g., pre-Christmas or pre-Easter), dispatch times may be extended slightly.


Refund Policy

14-Day Satisfaction Guarantee

If you are not satisfied with your purchase, you may request a refund within 14 days of receiving your order. Please contact us within this period so we can assist you.

Restocking Fee

After the 14-day period has passed, returns may still be accepted, but a restocking fee of 10–30% will apply depending on the product type.

Please contact us before returning goods so we can confirm the applicable restocking fee.

Exceptions

Refunds cannot be issued for items that:

  • Have been used, installed, or altered
  • Were damaged after delivery
  • Are cut-to-size or custom-made items (e.g., timber handrail, stainless steel tubing, galvanised pipe, custom-length posts)

These items are prepared specifically for your order and cannot be resold.

Return Conditions

Products must be returned in original condition. Return shipping is the responsibility of the customer. All postage and insurance costs must be prepaid.

We recommend returning goods via a tracked and insured service. Loss or damage during transit is the responsibility of the sender. Aussie Hardware is not liable for parcels lost or damaged during return transit if insurance was not purchased.
